The Grand Rapids Symphony is dedicated to providing exceptional opportunities for school groups and home school families to explore the world of classical music through performances in and around Grand Rapids, as well as in the schools.

CONCERTS AND ACTIVITIES - For the 2020-2021 school year, all education concerts and activities will be offered in a virtual format. Lollipops 1 and 2 will be available on-demand for 7 days, while the 3rd Grade and 5th Grade Concerts will be live-streamed at scheduled times.  All information regarding program dates, times, and information specific to school groups is included on each page. Reservations for programs are only available through the online reservation request on each page.

Lollipop Concerts
- These concerts are a great "first experience" to live orchestral music and the Grand Rapids Symphony.

Third Grade Concerts - No one tells the vibrant story of the importance of rhythm and percussion instruments better than Bill Vits in this high-energy, high-impact concert just for third graders.

Fifth Grade Concerts - The traditional concert hall takes on a new look and feel with this multi-media concert sure to engage your fifth-grade students in the full spectrum of a live concert packed with great music.

Artists in Residence Program (AIR) - This is a two-year partnership program between select schools and the Grand Rapids Symphony to provide not only traditional concert experiences but also performances in the schools by small ensembles of Symphony musicians.

Varineau Outstanding Music Educator Award 

Access to Music - Access to Music is a FREE performance for members of the Grand Rapids community who are not able to attend traditional concerts due to impairments or financial limitations.
