What are the differences in the seating options?
Lawn seating is on the grass hill.
Chair seating is white plastic chairs in a reserved general admission area.
Table seating is reserved seating at tables of 8 closest to the stage.
Are prices the same day of show?
No. Prices increase by $5 day of show.
What should I bring?
If you purchase lawn seating, we recommend either a picnic blanket or a lawn chair to sit on. Many guests bring food and drinks to enjoy the evening, although you may also purchase this on the grounds.
Can we bring food or alcoholic beverages on the grounds?
Yes! Food and alcoholic beverages are permitted. Alcohol bottles must be unopened. Glass containers are allowed.
Are there concessions on the grounds?
Yes. Cannonsburg Ski Area sells a variety of hot food and beverages, including alcohol.
Is smoking allowed on the premises?
A designated smoking area will be available on-site.
Is parking available on-site? Is there a cost to park?
Yes, parking is available on-site. There is no cost to park unless you choose to purchase VIP parking in advance.

Can I purchase tickets at the gate?
Yes, the box office will be open beginning at 5:30 pm on the day of show.
How long are the concerts?
Picnic Pops concerts are typically just over 2 hours. This also includes a brief 15-minute intermission.
Is there an ADA accessible area for the concert?
Yes, ADA accessible areas are available on the grounds.
Are pets allowed on the concert grounds?
Only service animals are allowed.
Can I bring a grill to the concert?
Grills will not be permitted on the grounds.
If a concert is canceled, can I get a refund?
There will be no refunds. Rain exchanges can be made in the Symphony office. The Grand Rapids Symphony performs rain or shine, and cancels only in the case of dangerous weather. Concerts will be deemed complete if performed up to intermission. If a concert is canceled due to weather prior to intermission, retain your ticket or ticket stub. The value of your ticket for a canceled concert will be applicable toward the purchase of another concert (some restrictions apply). For more information, please refer to our Weather Policy.
Are the concerts appropriate for children?
Many of the concerts this summer are family-friendly and will feature a kid-friendly area that includes crafts and an instrument petting zoo.
What time do the gates open?
Gates open at 5:45 pm.
Do you offer a discount for groups?
Group discounts are available by contacting us at 616.454.9451 x 121.
Are there public restrooms?
Port-a-Johns will be available on the concert grounds.
Is there a restriction on the height of the chair I’m bringing?
While there is not a specific height restriction for lawn chairs, we do ask that you be courteous to those around you when selecting a chair. Additionally, once the program begins, all shade umbrellas will need to be taken down as not to obstruct the view of other patrons.
What happens if it rains?
In the event of rain, the Grand Rapids Symphony will still perform, unless in cases of dangerous weather. We encourage our patrons to check weather reports for the day and plan accordingly.
How late is the box office open?
The Cannonsburg box office will be open until the end of intermission.
Can I get in for free after intermission?
No. All patrons must have a ticket.
Is anything included with table seating?
Table seating includes a great view of the concert and exclusive access to the VIP restrooms.
How do I get picked up from my car in a golf cart if I am immobile?
Those with mobility concerns may park in the Handicapped Parking Area with a handicapped sticker/tag on the vehicle. There will be golf carts available to transport to and from the grounds at this location.
ALL BAGS AND COOLERS WILL BE CHECKED.
For the safety of our guests the following items are prohibited on the grounds:
• No Grills
• No Pets (Service Animals Permitted)
• No Fireworks
• No Weapons
• No Firearms
The smoking of nicotine products, e-cigarettes, vapes and similar products are permitted within the designated smoking area. The use of cannabis products on concert grounds is strictly prohibited.
A ticket purchased as part of a 3-Concert series may be exchanged for the other evening of that same concert or a ticket of comparable value. Additional fees for any ticket upgrades will be charged. Tickets must be exchanged in advance of the concert that you cannot attend. No exchanges at Cannonsburg Box Office.
Concerts will be deemed complete if performed up to intermission. If a concert is canceled, retain the ticket or ticket stub. The value of your ticket for a canceled concert may be used toward the purchase of a ticket to select Grand Rapids Symphony concerts held between in the 2020-2021 indoor season. (Excludes Special Events, Gerber SymphonicBoom concerts and other select concerts. Subject to change.)
Please refrain from using flash photography during the concert. Cameras may be brought to the event; however, any use of still or video cameras and tape recorders during Grand Rapids Symphony performances is strictly prohibited.
Use the far left entrance adjacent to the ticket office.
The user of this ticket assumes all risk inherent in attendance at this event. The user releases the Grand Rapids Symphony, D&W Fresh Market, Cannonsburg Ski Area, its employees and agents from any and all damages, injuries and liabilities resulting from attendance at this event. Your attendance at this concert shall be deemed as your consent to appear in any photographs taken for the Grand Rapids Symphony's publicity purposes.
