Join the Giving Tuesday Movement with the Grand Rapids Symphony

After celebrating Thankgiving, the frenzy of Black Friday, and the digital deals on Cyber Monday, there is Giving Tuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back. On Tuesday, December 1 this year, non-profits and their communities will come together to celebrate generosity and to give something more and to share how they're giving.

Why is it important to give to the arts this holiday season? Take it from supporters of the Grand Rapids Symphony:

"Great music inspires us and adds incredible richness to our lives. Each live performance of the Grand Rapids Symphony, whether classical or pop, reminds us about how blessed our community is to have such a wonderful cultural asset. The Symphony also provides essential education and easy access programs, without which many young people and those less fortunate than us would have no exposure to the magic of live orchestral music. We can't imagine Grand Rapids without our Symphony, so we give to help keep it going!"  - David & Anne-Lise Whitescarver

"The Grand Rapids Symphony provides wonderful music to our community. The performances and educational programs are engaging, diverse, and enriching. We've enjoyed family events, as well as fantastic evenings with friends for a 'night on the town.' We recognize our contribution to the symphony to be a great opportunity to show our appreciation for the arts and the orchestra musicians  of Grand Rapids!" - Dr. Andola Mathis

The Grand Rapids Symphony reaches nearly 90,000 with music education and community outreach at a time when arts education is disappearing from schools.
