Interested in Guest Blogging for the Grand Rapids Symphony? Here's How...

Do you love to write? Do you want to share your enthusiasm for music? Would like to share your experiences as a concertgoer, volunteer, or student participating in one of the Grand Rapids Symphony's programs?

We are now accepting submissions for the Grand Rapids Symphony blog during the 2015-16 Season! We're looking for guests posts on a wide variety topics, from concert reviews and reflective essays on the importance of music education, to your perspective on the health benefits of music or a list of five things you learned at a Grand Rapids Symphony concert. For topic ideas, read our guest posts last season from two Mosaic Scholars, a MySymphony360 member and our summer Public Relations intern

Blogging with the Grand Rapids Symphony is simple:

  • Send your post as a Microsoft Word attachment to snapolitan@grsymphony.org to submit.
  • Blog posts can be anywhere from 100 to 500 words.
  • If you have a headline in mind, please share it with us!
  • If you’d like, please include a bio, 50 words or less, at the bottom of your post.
  • We love photos! You can send HD photos in .jpg format along with your post to snapolitan@grsymphony.org.
  • Once you have submitted, we’ll let you know when your post is published on GRSymphony.org.

  • As you compose your blog post, keep these writing tips in mind:

  • Original and unique content is preferred!
  • Write with the reader in mind—short paragraphs and bullet points are easier on the eyes.

  • Please note:

  • Posts may be edited for content and grammar.
  • By submitting a post, you acknowledge that your writing may be shared on social media or republished by the Grand Rapids Symphony.

  • If you have any questions about guest blogging, contact Samara at snapolitan@grsymphony.org.

    Thank you for contributing!
