GRS Musicians and Board Members Work Together at Phonathon

Earlier this month, eight Grand Rapids Symphony board members and 19 musicians joined up for a two-day Phonathon event at the GRS office. The board members and musicians served as ambassadors for the organization as they connected with over 851 attendees of LiveArts, an unprecedented event last April that showcased the talent of four West Michigan arts organizations in Van Andel Arena.

Everyone involved shared stories and updates on GRS news as they chatted with the LiveArts attendees over the phones. The board members and musicians also bonded over a delicious catered dinner in the GRS conference room.

Events like the Phonathon not only establish an open and engaging line of communication between the GRS and the community, they also help patrons gain an understanding of the GRS and its annual needs for financial support. The success of events like LiveArts depend on community-wide support, as well as the generosity of donors.
