Every year, the holiday season is filled with present-shopping,
gift-wrapping, traveling and chaos. Take some time to celebrate with your
family and join us for our Holiday Pops Spectacular!
This event, sponsored by more than 25 area business and
organizations, brings festive treats, games, crafts, activities, caroling,
family photos, and an instrument petting zoo to the DeVos Performance Hall. Not
only is the Holiday Pops Spectacular a load of fun, it’s also educational! In
the instrument petting zoo, kids get to try playing everything from a euphonium
to a French horn. Teach your children about the joy of music while also
spending some quality time together as a family.
You can also get hands on and make memories with your family
with this exciting event in many other ways. The Home Depot is sponsoring a
woodworking station, the Grand Rapids Public Museum will have a make-your-own
Egyptian ornament craft, and Downtown GR Inc. will have a giant Jenga set to
build and play with. These are just a couple of the highlights of the event,
among many others.
Whether your children are new to experiencing the wonder of
the season, or are well acquainted with Christmas, this event has something to
offer for everyone, adults included. Tickets are $20 and include tickets to the
Saturday performance of “Holiday Pops” at 3:00 p.m. Children one year and under
are free to attend. Tickets can be purchased by calling
616.454.9451 x 4.
