Our season finale concert could be none other than the colossus inspired by Jean Paul Richter’s novel, Titan, and written from a mindset of “constructing a world with all the technical means at one’s disposal.” Mahler’s first symphony is a journey through orchestral sounds of nature, happy daydreams, a wedding procession, funeral march, and a victorious finale.
