Downtown Grand Rapids is undergoing a Renaissance. Founded as a trading post in the 1820s, the City was incorporated in 1850 and grew steadily through the latter half of the 19th century, eventually becoming America’s “Furniture City”.

Over the past decade, with the addition of the DeVos Place Convention center, dozens of restaurants, bars and shops and an outdoor amphitheater, the central city has become an entertainment, financial and health services hub for the region.

Downtown Grand Rapids Restaurants

Beverages and refreshments are available in the Keeler Lobby at DeVos Performance Hall before the concert and during intermission. There are also many restaurants nearby, ranging in price, but all excellent choices depending on the type of fare you desire.

If you would like to dine in a restaurant before the concert, we suggest making reservations at least 1-1/2 hours before the concert. Some restaurants even cater to the concert crowd, offering specials and extra fast service.
