We are excited to welcome you back to LIVE performances of the Grand Rapids Symphony! We care very much about the health and safety of our patrons, orchestra musicians, staff, and guest artists. We have taken strides to carefully plan for a safe and healthy environment for everyone to be able to experience live music in the DeVos Performance Hall.

In preparation for our season, we have updated our policies and attendance requirements as follows:

Health & Safety
► DeVos Hall entry vaccination checkpoints will be open 2 hours prior to the concert start time to verify your vaccination card. There will be multiple checkpoints located outside of the building as well as in the parking garage below the building.
We encourage you to come early to complete this part of the process and receive a wristband that will indicate you’ve been cleared. You can then go explore downtown GR and come back to the hall closer to the start of the concert to go through security and have your tickets scanned. Wristbands will not be issued for those arriving less than 30 minutes before the show, since the halls doors are open for seating you should just proceed inside.
You may bring your actual card, a photo of your card, or proof of a negative covid test result (in-home test results are accepted) from the last 72 hours, along with a valid photo ID that matches the name on your vaccination card.
Audience members 12 years of age and older will be required to show proof of fully vaccinated status or a negative COVID-19 test administered within 72 hours of concert attendance.
Masks covering mouth and nose are required for all audience members while on the premises and during performances.

DeVos Performance Hall Guidelines Updates
We understand that the no-bag policy was causing difficulty for some patrons. We spoke with our partners at ASM, and you will now be able to bring bags larger than just a clutch into the hall for Grand Rapids Symphony concerts only. Security will have a basket that is 12x9x3, and if the purse/bag fits, it will be allowed in. Thank you for your patience while we worked to improve this policy.
We are happy to share with you that beverages will again be available for purchase in the lobby at DeVos Performance Hall. Drinks will need to be consumed in the lobby and not taken into the hall. We hope to bring back snacks at a later time

Given the evolving nature of COVID-19 trends, we will continue to closely monitor CDC guidance throughout the season. Policy and procedure changes will be communicated in a timely and transparent way. For more detail about health and safety guidelines, please visit GRSymphony.org/safety.

Please note: To give you peace of mind when purchasing concert tickets in advance, we are suspending our usual refund policies effective now until May 31, 2022, and will allow refunds of any tickets up until 24 hours before your scheduled performance.
