Experience the concert hall transformed into a giant classroom!

This concert is available to stream through June 4, 2021. This year, there will be a student conducting project to go along with The Thunderer, in lieu of the typical art project. Details about the conducting project can be found in the teacher guide, which is sent upon making a reservation to the concert.

This multimedia concert connects your fifth graders in multiple ways, beginning weeks before the performance. Students listen to the chords and scales in the music of Beethoven, identify different musical themes, and hear the difference in musical color as they categorize the instruments of a symphony orchestra. They also work on and submit artwork, creating visual realizations of a piece of music, giving them a multi-sensory experience of interpreting and understanding standard classical repertoire.

Age Appropriate: 5th Grade
