Great for families with young children! These thematic chamber orchestra concerts offer a first exposure to a live symphony orchestra. Concerts are approximately 45 minutes in length and are presented throughout the greater Grand Rapids area. Tickets are $5 per person, regardless of age, for general admission seats. DTE Energy Foundation Family Series Concerts [ages 7-12]

This two-concert series on Sunday afternoons at 3:00 p.m. at the Forest Hills Fine Arts Center is programmed for children ages 7-12 and their families. Hour-long, themed concerts are sure to be a thrill for people of all ages! Come an hour early for pre-concert activities in the lobbies, featuring an Instrument Petting Zoo, craft activity and much more!
Single tickets range from $7-$9 for children 12 and under and $11-$15 for adults. Call the GRS ticket office at 616/454-9451 ext. 4 or Ticketmaster at 616/456-3333.

An opportunity for talented Middle School and High School musicians to perform standard orchestral repertoire under the direction of Grand Rapids Symphony Associate Conductor, John Varineau. Grand Rapids Youth Symphony and Classical Orchestra
Masters Sharing Music
Talented local students, ages 14-25, have the opportunity to work with select guest artists from the 2008-09 Grand Rapids Symphony and St. Cecilia Music Center seasons in a public master class setting. Masters Sharing Music classes are free and open to the public. All classes are held at St. Cecilia Music Center.
GRS master class participants are selected by application. To be considered, please complete an application form and include a letter of recommendation from the student's teacher as well as an audio recording (tape or CD) of the two selections the students would like to perform on the class. All materials and recordings must be received a minimum of 30 days prior to the class. Audition recordings will not be returned. Students selected to perform will be notified by mail.
