Info You Need to Know

  • Alcoholic Beverage Policy
Alcoholic beverages are permitted although they will not be available for purchase at Cannonsburg.
  • Smoking Policy
In consideration for your neighbors in the audience and our musicians on stage, please refrain from smoking in all seating areas. The designated smoking area is located next to the portable restroom facilities by the creek at the east side of the grounds.
  • Accessibility for People with Disabilities
Use the left (East) entrance, adjacent to the ticket office by the handicapped accessible parking area
  • Cell Phone Reception
Cell phone reception is sporadic. In the case of an emergency, there are pay phones available for your use inside the ski lodge.
  • Family Fun Area
Hands-on activities for families start at 5:30 pm on concert night and close one half hour before the concert starts. These activities for the young-at-heart are held at the bottom of the ski slope furthest (East) from the stage.
  • Food and Beverages
Pack your own picnic or take advantage of the food available through Cannonsburg. Grilled items, soft drinks and more will be available for purchase on the grounds. Cannonsburg catering is available, details under "Reserved Dinner Packages."  D&W Fresh Market carries a variety of picnic items. A flier listing the types of items they carry as well as locations en route to Cannonsburg is available for download below.
  • Gates
Gates open at 5:30 pm for picnicking, pre-concert music and children’s activities.
  • Lost and Found
Inquiries about lost articles during the performances may be made to the Information table and/or the Symphony Store on the Cannonsburg grounds. After each weekend performance, all lost articles are returned to the Symphony office. Call 616/454-9451, Ext. 0, during regular business hours.
  • Travel to Ski Area & Parking
We generally have large audiences. Please allow for extra travel time to the venue. Come early for picnicking and pre-concert entertainment to avoid the traffic backup that can happen closer to concert start. West Michigan Whitecaps games will be getting out around the same time as our concert, creating congestion at the West River Drive on ramp to US-131 around 10 pm. You may wish to plan your travel route accordingly. There is only one entrance and exit into Cannonsburg Ski Area and the free field parking lots empty out slowly at concert end. You may wish to continue your picnic and festivities on the hill after the concert until exit traffic dissipates. Please consider carpooling.
  • Passenger Drop Off
Passengers can be dropped off at a turnaround at the base of the driveway, in front of the ticket office.
  • Patron Assistance
Symphony volunteers are happy to assist you in carrying chairs and picnics to your seating area. Golf carts are available to transport those who are physically challenged.
  • Reserved Dinner Packages
Boxed dinners and gourmet baskets may be reserved through Cannonsburg Ski Area. Full menu can be downloaded below. Orders must be placed by the Tuesday prior to the concert. For more information and pricing call 616/874-6711, Ext. 0, beginning June 1.
  • Restroom Facilities
Facilities are conveniently located throughout the grounds.

Please no tables, grills, bicycles, pets or solicitation.
